Florence police make arrest after burglary

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - One person has been arrested after a burglary on Madison Avenue in Florence.

According to Major Carlos Raines of the Florence Police Department, the homeowner returned to their home at about 1 p.m., heard a noise, and saw a man stealing belongings from the residence.

When police arrived, they located a man hiding between bushes on Palmetto Street.

The suspect who was arrested has been identified as 24-year-old Enrico Devon Jones of Effingham. Major Raines said he was caught with electronics, jewelry and video games, and all the stolen property was recovered. Jones was charged with second-degree burglary.
