Florence School District Two plans community engagement meetings

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The Florence School District Two's Board of Trustee's wants the community's help in finding a new superintendent.

The board is holding group forums and meetings on November 10 and 11 for community members and district employees to share their feedback with a team from BWP & Associates, who have been selected to help aid in the process. The team will have a question and answer session, seek suggestions from the attendees, and explain the process further.

"One of the main outcomes of this community engagement process will be the creation of a Leadership Profile which will identify the characteristics and skill set our next superintendent needs to be successful," said Elleveen Poston, chairman of the Florence Two School Board.

The employee forum will be held on November 10 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and the public forum will be held the following day from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Both will be scheduled to meet in the Hannah-Pamplico Elementary Middle Cafeteria.

If you cannot attend either meeting, an online survey will be posted on the district's website on November 10 to help collect input and ideas. You can visit their website here.
