Amy Lipman became a member of the WMBF News team in October 2014 and is ecstatic to take the next step in her career as a reporter, a job she's known she's wanted since she was ten years old.
Amy comes to the beach from the mountains of Colorado where she worked in Grand Junction as a multimedia journalist covering everything from a massive, deadly landslide to the area's famous wine and peach industries.
She graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in May 2013. She majored in broadcast journalism and international relations and minored in Spanish. Amy graduated with Renee Crown University Honors and completed her Capstone project with a series of long-form investigative pieces, one of her journalistic passions.
Amy's first passion was for dance, which she has done for various studios and teams since she was six years old. Amy caught the travel bug three years ago and has since been to 12 countries on four continents including Madrid, Spain where she spent a semester honing her Spanish skills.
You'll catch Amy during the week as a video journalist covering both Myrtle Beach and Florence. If you have any story ideas, questions or want to share fun places to explore in South Carolina, email Amy at firstname.lastname@example.org, connect on Twitter @AmyL411 or Facebook.
