CHESTERFIELD, SC (WMBF) – A jury found Curtis Gorny guilty of attempted murder Wednesday.
After 15 minutes of deliberating, the jury had a guilty verdict, Fourth Circuit Solicitor Kernard Redmond said.
Gorny was found guilty of three counts of attempted murder, possession of deadly weapon during the commission of a crime and failing to stop for blue lights.
Gorny was the suspect of shooting two people outside the Chesterfield County courthouse in 2013. After the shooting, police said Gorny led deputies on a 15-mile high speed chase.
The judge sentenced Gorny to a total of 30 years.
Gorny will be sent to the SC Department of Corrections for evaluation before being placed in prison.
