Local author to host book signing for 'Lost Myrtle Beach'

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The Horry County Museum and The AVX Foundation will present local author Becky Billingsley as she gives a presentation on her new book, Lost Myrtle Beach.

The presentation will be held on November 1, at the McCown Auditorium on 805 Main Street, in Conway. The program will begin at 2 p.m. and a book signing will follow, in the museum's gift shop.

In Billingsley's book, she highlights some of Myrtle Beach's memorable attractions. Attractions that are featured in her book include, the Myrtle Beach Pavilion, which was demolished in 2007, The Ocean Forest Hotel, the Myrtle Beach General Bombing and Gunnery Range, which became Myrtle Beach Air Force Base until it closed in 1993 and other attractions that no longer exist.
