New images of October robbery in Clio released

CLIO, SC (WMBF) - A cashier at the Dollar General on Highway Nine East in Clio was taken to a hospital after she was assaulted with a gun on the night of Friday, October 17 during a robbery, according to Clio Police Chief John Lester.

On December 18, Chief Lester released new surveillance cameras images of the suspects, and requested the public's help in locating the two suspects. He described them both as black males, about 6-feet-tall, one dressed all in black.

Chief Lester said the two men entered the store with their faces and hands covered, hit the cashier on the head with a gun, and took $430 from the cash register.

The incident is under investigation by the Clio Police Department and the Marlboro County Sheriff's Office.
