Judge sentences Marlboro man to 35 years in sexual assault case

MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Marlboro man was found guilty and has been sentenced to 35 years for multiple crimes.

Derrick Dupree, 32, was convicted of burglary, kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct, and use of a weapon during a violent crime, according to Will Rogers with the Marlboro County Solicitor's Office. Dupree was accused

A jury found Dupree guilty on the third day of the trial.

The judge sentenced him to 30 years, plus five years for the weapon, which he'll serve consecutively, Rogers said.
