In 3 words: College students sum up their grades on Twitter

(WMBF) - College students, still enrolled, have made it to the midterm mark. Midterm grades were due for Francis Marion Patriots and Coastal Carolina Chants last week.

On Tuesday, #MyGradesInThreeWords was trending on Twitter. Some college kids got creative in their responses. Some students, participating in the trend, might even be looking for a career change, as it appears the scores aren't exactly ‘grade A.'

In fall 2014, some 21 million students are expected to attend American colleges and universities, which is an increase increase of about 5.7 million since fall 2000, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

In addition, females are expected to account for the majority of college students: about 12 million females will attend in fall 2014, compared with 9 million males, the center states. Also, more students are expected to attend full time than part time.
