Man wanted for armed bank robbery in Murrells Inlet

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) - One person is wanted by the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Murrells Inlet Monday morning.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., a white male suspect entered the Conway National Bank at 4345 Highway 17 Bypass and demanded money from the employee.

The suspect fled south on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, medium build and approximately 5'10" in height. The suspect was wearing a black baseball cap, gray shirt with black long sleeves, blue jeans and white shoes, according to the sheriff's office.
