Suspects wanted for alleged armed robbery

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating an alleged armed robbery that occurred on Hemingway Street.

According to the police report, a man was walking home from a friend's house when he was approached by an unknown female. After engaging in conversation, the victim was approached by two men who spoke with him briefly before he was "sucker punched" from behind by two other unknown men.

The victim stated that during the attack he managed to break free and run down Carver Street, but the suspects quickly returned driving a small, gray car. According to the police report, the victim said that the suspects then jumped out of the vehicle holding multiple weapons and pushed him into a bush.

According to the victim, one suspect hit him with a large stick and another suspect pointed a gun at him demanding all his belongings. The police report stated, the suspects then took his bag and went through his pockets, taking several items, including a cell phone and wallet.

After the assault ended, the victim ran directly to the police department.
