Robeson County officials: Lumberton shooting victim dies

ROBESON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A 23-year-old man shot multiple times in Lumberton early Friday morning has died, according to the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

Roderick Laquane Robinson died following the shooting, Major Thompson confirmed.

A woman called 911 to report shots fired on Alamac Village Drive in Lumberton at about 12:30 a.m., an official with the RCSO stated. A short time later, the victim arrived at nearby medical center with multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators are following up on leads, and no arrests have been made. The cause of the shooting has not been determined, officials stated.

This is the third shooting incident reported in Lumberton this week. A Connecticut man died after a shooting in Lumberton on Tuesday, and two men showed up at a hospital in Lumberton Thursday night with multiple gunshot wounds.
