MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Grab a stein and your favorite lederhosen - the start of October means it's time for Oktoberfest, and there are several events around the Grand Strand, starting this Friday.
The Seventh Annual Oktoberfest in Valor Park at The Market Common kicks off at 4 p.m. Friday, and features live German music from the Tan & Sober Gentlemen, German food, a large selection of Oktoberfest beer, fun and games for kids, a pumpkin patch for kids to decorate pumpkins, inflatables, face painting and much more.
This Oktoberfest event runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

On October 11, there will be two more Oktoberfest events: Oktoberfest on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, and the Inaugural North Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest.
The Oktoberfest on the Boardwalk is billed at the "Beach's Biggest Bavarian Boardwalk Block Party," and features three city blocks of entertainment, 6 live bands, food and retail vendors, a German Car Show, entertainment for the kids, and of course, beer! Festivities kick off at 11 a.m. on Ocean Boulevard between Eighth Avenue North and Mr. Joe White Avenue.

The Inaugural North Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on October 11 at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex. Find out more information about that event here:
