HORRY COUNTY, SC (NEWS RELEASE) - Horry County council members have decided to make litter a priority.
The first county-wide volunteer litter cleanup has been scheduled for Saturday, November 8 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a post-celebration party at the Myrtle Beach Speedway from noon until 3 p.m.
There will be lunch, prizes, entertainment, educational booths and much more. The post-celebration is open to all, however cleanup participants will be given a wristband that makes them eligible for the prize drawings and free food.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. the day of the event, with pre-registration available on the Horry County web site: www.horrycounty.org.

29526. You may also download a Waiver Form. Please bring this signed form to the registration table on the day of the event (locations to be announced).
NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT A SIGNED WAIVER FORM! The waiver form will also be available to sign at all registration booths. All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign for them. In
addition; NO PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 16 WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT A PARENT OR LEGAL CUSTODIAN BEING PRESENT.
All volunteers must wear closed toe shoes and are encouraged to wear long sleeves, long pants, leather shoes or boots and eye protection.
Trash bags, gloves, a wristband, and a brightly colored T-shirt will be provided the day of the event.
