Clerk robbed by masked man in Myrtle Beach convenience store

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A man wearing a mask threatened to shoot a Myrtle Beach Circle K clerk during a robbery Wednesday morning.

Myrtle Beach police responded to The Circle K at 6501 North Kings Highway where the clerk told officers that a man wearing a mask came into the store demanding money around 2:45 a.m.

The clerk said the suspect stepped toward him and said "you don't want me to shoot you," according to the police report. The suspect demanded money from the cash register and the clerk gave him $50 in cash.

Once the suspect received the money, he calmly left the store and was last seen walking north on Kings Highway, according to the police report.

The suspect is described as standing around six feet tall and weighing between 130 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, dark black glasses, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and blue sweat pants. The suspect also had on grey winter gloves and gray tennis shoes.

The clerk told police the suspect had dark brown paint or makeup around his glasses to disguise his skin tone.

The clerk also stated that he never saw a weapon of any kind but that the suspect had a plastic bag wrapped around one of his hands.
