Two wanted for robbing woman at gunpoint in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Two people are wanted for robbing a woman at gunpoint early Sunday morning in Myrtle Beach, according to a police report.

Myrtle Beach police responded to the area of 1st Avenue South and Chester Street in reference to a strong armed robbery.

The victim told police that she was walking home from a bar at 1:30 a.m. when she was approached by a male and female.

The female suspect approached the victim and demanded her purse. The victim replied, "Is this a joke?"

At that time, the male suspect pointed a black handgun cocked and slid back in her face and said, "Does it look like I'm joking?"

The victim then handed over her purse and the suspects took off running west on 1st Avenue South towards Kings Highway, according to the police report.

The female suspect is described as approximately 5'10'' with a heavy set build. The victim said that she had black hair with braids, wore a pink shirt with lettering on it and jean shorts. The male suspect is described as a black male with dreads wearing a white shirt and jean shorts.

The police report states that $50 in cash, a $30 wallet, a pair of shoes, a cell phone, the victim's driver's license, and her social security card were inside her purse.
