Shoplifting stopped at Seaboard Street Walmart Friday evening

Myrtle Beach, SC (WMBF) - Just two weeks ago, the Seaboard Street Walmart was hit by shoplifters three times in one day. Yesterday around 6:35 p.m. police responded to the call of a man stealing several items from the same Walmart.

A Walmart security guard told police the individual attempted to steal a tool bag, seven ratchets, and two 18 volt batteries when she stopped the individual at the door.

When the man was confronted by the guard and was told to come to the office he ran away and jumped onto a black mountain bicycle, according to a police report.

The suspect is being described as a white man in his late 40's, wearing grey in color hoodie, and a black hat.

Walmart security was able to recover all the items totaling in $589.00.

If you have any information that can help solve this case, you are asked to contact police.
