Tip leads Scotland County deputies to pot plants

SCOTLAND COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - A tip helped lead authorities to make a pot bust in the Hasty community on Wednesday.

Officers stated they found several marijuana plants growing.

Now, they're thanking the community for the fight against illegal activity.

The sheriff said the marijuana seizure is a perfect example of what happens when the community gets involved and helps law enforcement.

    MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Police say a suspect is in custody Tuesday after a brief manhunt through the Zion community in Marion County. Mullins Police Chief Michael Bethea says the suspect was wanted for operation of a stolen vehicle. Authorities responded to the call around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning according to Bethea.
