Grand Strand’s Miracle League to play in fall opener

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The season has come for the Grand Strand Miracle Leagues' Fall Baseball Opener.

The Miracle League provides people with special needs the opportunity to participate and engage in recreational activities in a community-supported and safe environment. The games will begin on Thursday, September 18 at 6 p.m. The league plays at The James C. Benton Miracle League Field at the Pepper Geddings Recreation Center Complex. The complex is located on Oak Street and 33rd Avenue North.

There will be a guest appearance by Major League Baseball hero, Reggie Sanders and Coastal Carolina's athletes and fraternal organizations will serve as "buddies" to the players. South Atlantic Bank is sponsoring this event.

Opening Ceremonies will begin at 6 p.m. The game will begin at 6:15 p.m. and there will be a Barbecue Dinner at 6:30 p.m. The game is expected to end at 7:30 p.m.
