Education center offers students free GED tests to practice

CONWAY, SC - Students have the opportunity to practice taking GED tests for two weeks before taking the official exam.

Adult Education is giving away free GED practice tests to all students who visit the Conway Education Center or Myrtle Beach Family Learning Center, from September 22 through October 3.

The "See for Free" program is designed to help students determine if they are ready to take and pass the official GED test. If not, the practice test will highlight which skills they need to work on to pass the test, and Horry County Schools Adult Education will offer personalized study plans, according to a news release issued by the Horry County Schools Adult and Community Education.

The following information was issued in the news release:

Students can "See For Free" and take the GED Ready practice test from 1-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Conway Education Center, 1601 Sherwood Drive, or Myrtle Beach Family Learning Center, 3101 Oak Street. The free test is only available from September 22 to October 3.

A Saturday test will be given from 1:00 to 4:00 on September 27.

Space is limited for the free practice tests and students are encouraged to register early.
