Two eat fried chicken while shoplifting at Walmart, police say

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Two people were arrested for shoplifting while eating fried chicken at a local Walmart.

Myrtle Beach police responded to the Walmart off of Seaboard Street Wednesday afternoon regarding a shoplifting incident.

A witness stated that she observed Zachary Douglas Gardner, 22, select and remove a sync burn device from the counter and place it into a shopping cart. The cart already had a container of fried chicken from the deli section in it, according to the police report.

While making way through the store, Gardner and Kristen Anne Milone , 28, were eating fried chicken out of the deli container.

Gardner then selected a trailer hitch and concealed it in Milone's purse along with the sync burn device, according to the police report.

Gardner and Milone passed all points of sale without paying for the items and exited the store.

The chicken, sync burn device and trailer hitch totaled $136.88.

Gardner and Milone were arrested and transported to the Myrtle Beach Jail. Both were charged with shoplifting.
