Police conduct drug bust in Atlantic Beach

ATLANTIC BEACH, SC (WMBF) –Officers with the Atlantic Beach Police Department conducted a drug bust at a home early Thursday morning.

Police discovered 23 grams of crack cocaine, 45 dosage units of heroin, and small bags of prescription medications from a house on 30th Avenue, according to Atlantic Beach Police Chief Timothy Taylor.

Chief Taylor said there was a 72 hour investigation on the house prior to the drug bust. In addition to Taylor, drug enforcement unit officers assisted with the drug bust.

The suspect was not home at the time of the drug bust, but a warrant is out for the suspect's arrest.

Once captured, the suspect will be charged with trafficking crack cocaine, heroin, and for carrying prescription drugs, according to Chief Taylor.
