CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - Fifth ranked Coastal Carolina will be in action at home this weekend facing Sotuh Carolina State for the second time in as many years. The Bulldogs are a playoff team from a year ago, and are predicted to finish second in the MEAC Conference this year.
So far, S.C. State has beaten Division II school Benedict and lost to Clemson. Even though Coastal Carolina will be the first FCS team the Bulldogs face this year, the Chants are aware of the offensive threats they'll be facing.
"Any snap they can hit multiple points of attack so on defense if people dont make their reads based on an initial flow we'll have too many guys overplaying one part of their game," said head coach Joe Moglia. "If there's too many guys overplaying one part of their game, we're giving them too many opportunities somewhere else."
Coastal has beat The Citadel and North Carolina A&T to open the year. Kickoff is 6:00 on Saturday at Brooks Stadium.
