CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - Each year the expectations continue to rise for Coastal Carolina soccer, and the Chants have delivered. They have made it to the third round of the NCAA postseason for the last two years, and this year has started out promising.
Coastal opened up the year by beating 8th ranked Connecticut and 21st ranked Charlotte both on the road. CCU's lone loss came in overtime against 2nd ranked Maryland. The Chants' home opener is on Friday against Furman.
CCU has also won the last three Big South regular season titles, and with All-American talent returning to the roster, expects much of the same for the upcoming season.
