MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The number of passengers arriving into the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) has increased since last year.
Passengers increased by 3.03 percent. More than 100,000 passengers arrived into MYR.
From January 2014 to August 2014, MYR welcomed 640,735 passengers to the Grand Strand.
"In August 2014, the number of passengers that our airline partners brought to Myrtle Beach is up 3 percent over August 2013 and up by more than 24 percent when compared to August 2012," said Pat Apone, director of airports. "The continued growth is directly related to the current strength of the airline industry and the Myrtle Beach brand," Apone said.
