Retirement community to host golf tournament for Alzheimer’s Association

Retirement community to host golf tournament for Alzheimer’s Association

The Lakes at Litchfield will host the 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament. The Lakes at Litchfield will host the 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

Pawleys Island, SC (WMBF) - The Lakes at Litchfield will host the 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

The tournament will be held on Sunday, September 14, at 2 p.m. at the Indigo Creek Golf Course. There will be a 19th Hole Party, immediately after the tournament at the Hot Fish Club in Murrells Inlet.

This event will benefit the Grand Strand Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. The Lakes at Litchfield looks to raise $10,000 to help relieve 20,000 family caregivers through the Alzheimer's Association Respite Voucher Program.

The public is encouraged to participate as players, hole sponsors, attending the 19th Hole Party or by making donations. For more information, click here.

    MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Police say a suspect is in custody Tuesday after a brief manhunt through the Zion community in Marion County. Mullins Police Chief Michael Bethea says the suspect was wanted for operation of a stolen vehicle. Authorities responded to the call around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning according to Bethea.
