Emergency crews respond to 4 shootings in 1 night in Florence

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Four people were shot Saturday night in Florence in three shooting incidents.

First responders responded to two shootings along Highway 52, according to Battalion Chief Anthony Fox, with the West Florence Fire Department. The shootings happened at around 6:30 p.m.

One shooting happened at Microtel Inn and Suites on Enterprise Drive and Highway 52. The shooting we preceded by a verbal and physical altercation, according to Florence County Sheriff Kenney Boone. The two were treated at an area hospital for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. This incident is still under investigation, Sheriff Boone stated.

In the second shooting, a victim was found with a gunshot wound in front of Zaxby's restaurant on Highway 52.

The third shooting was fatal. The incident happened at around 11:10 p.m. on the corner of North Dargan and Booker Street between McClain and another individual, according to Major Raines.
