FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) - Golfers can play on behalf of several good causes as the Florence Police Department holds its 14th annual golf tournament.
Friday's outing begins at 8:15 a.m. at the Traces Golf Club in Florence and continues through the day.
Proceeds are used to support the police department's youth programs, such as its summer basketball camp, the Police Athletic League and Police Explorers. It also benefits the department's annual Christmas gift program for children and the elderly.
Breakfast and lunch are provided. Team registration fees cover the food and water.
Tee times are at 8:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. The costs run $200 for a four-person team, $50 per individual, and $100 for hole sponsorship.
