GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – Xavier Rashon Reed was arrested Friday night after running from agents investigating a drug deal in Georgetown County in August, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff's Officer.

Reed, along with two captured suspects, fled after agents said they saw the trio engaged in a drug deal.

Reed and another suspect fled the scene before crashing the SUV into a house at the intersection of Yadkin Avenue and Congaree Lane.

Through investigation, agents learned that Reed was possibly in Myrtle Beach Friday night and was taken into custody from an apartment complex on Osceola Street, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff's Officer.

Reed was transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center where he will be housed.

Reed, 19 years of age, of Georgetown, is charged with two counts assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, one count of failure to stop for blue lights, and one count of malicious injury to real property and driving under suspension.

At the time of the incident, Reed was on early supervised release from the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
