Man walking toward boulevard reportedly robbed, assaulted

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A man was reportedly robbed while walking toward Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach on Sunday night.

The victim stated he was robbed by three black males, according to a police report.

He said the men approached him and asked him for money.

The man said he gave the three men more than $100 before the suspects punched him in the ribs.

The victim was unable to give police a description, but said he would be able to point them out if he saw them again.

The incident happened on 17th Avenue South and South Ocean Boulevard.

    A 32-year-old man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint of $1,984 and other belongings Monday afternoon by two men Monday afternoon. According to a Myrtle Beach Police Department incident report, police responded to a home in the 100 block of Cedar Street for a report of an armed robbery.

Recruitment started in January and the district has already started making job offers. According to Bourcier, leaders are hoping to complete the hiring process over the summer.
