Many people say Darlington Raceway is NASCAR's version of Lambeau Field. It's one of the oldest, most historic facilities in the sport. For many years fans crowded the stands every Labor Day weekend.
It's come full circle and now the engines will roar again on the weekend before Labor Day. Not only is this good news for the track and for the Pee Dee. Having the race on Labor Day weekend will be an economical boost for the entire region.
