Firefighters rescue dog stuck between two bars in Florence

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – West Florence firefighters rescued a dog that had its head in a set of bars at a home on Tanager Drive on Wednesday.

The West Florence Fire Department responded to a report of a dog trapped at about 2:46 p.m., and arrived to find the dog with its head stuck between two bars and choking, according to a news release from the department.

Firefighters removed the dog without injuring it, and the animal was turned over to the owner without incident.
