Coast RTA announces fall, winter schedule

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Changes are being made to the Coast RTA routes and schedules. The announcement came at a board meeting Wednesday.

Changes will take place beginning Monday, September 1.

"Route evaluations are underway for Routes 16 and 16X from Georgetown to Myrtle Beach; therefore, these routes will remain on the same schedule but changes will be forthcoming," said Michelle Cantey, Public Information Officer.

The following was issued by Coast RTA in a news release:

Route 7:
There will have a bus leaving the Conway Terminal at 6:00 am, 7:00 am, and at top of every even hour there after beginning at 8 am. The Myrtle Beach Transfer Center will have a bus leaving at the top of every odd hour beginning at 7:00 am. (The last trip to Myrtle Beach from the Conway terminal will be at 4 p.m., with the last trip from the Myrtle Beach Transfer \Center headed to Conway at 6 p.m..)

Route 10:
Which leaves the Myrtle Beach Transfer Station and includes the Coastal Grand Mall and Broadway at the Beach, has been modified to accommodate the Myrtle Beach International Airport and Kings Highway locations. This route will have a bus departing the Myrtle Beach Transfer Center at the top of every hour beginning at 8:00 am top of every hour until 6 p.m.

Routes 15 N (to 82nd and Grand Strand Hospital) & 15 S (to Market Common):
A bus will depart the Myrtle Beach Transfer Center every hour from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Route 21 (Serves the Broadway at the Beach and Ocean Blvd. tourist attractions):
This FREE service will end August 31, 2014. The route is seasonal.

Fliers have been distributed on these routes for the past several days to make the riders aware of the schedule changes to the fall/winter schedule.
