21 cars broken into in Conway; no signs of forced entry reported

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Over 20 cars in the Woodcreek area of Conway were broken into overnight Tuesday, and according to Conway Police reports, five cars had items stolen from them, including money, three guns, an iPhone and an iPod.

There was no broken glass or other signs of forced entry into any of the vehicles, even though several of the car owners said that they remembered locking their doors, according to Conway Police spokeswoman Lt. Selena Small. Many cars appeared to have been rummaged through, but no items were stolen.

On Woodcreek Drive, three vehicles had items stolen from them, and six vehicles were entered, with no items taken and no report requested, Lt. Small stated. One car on Bluebell Lane had items stolen from it, and two were entered with no items stolen. Two more cars on Warm Springs Lane were entered with no items taken. On Crocus Lane, one car had items stolen from inside, and three were entered with no items taken. Three vehicles on Cocksfoot were entered, but no items were taken.

A total of 21 cars appeared to have been broken into in Woodcreek, and items were stolen from five of them, Lt. Small confirmed.

Conway Police are requesting that anyone with any information about these thefts contact the CPD at 843-248-1790.
