CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The Edwards Black Box Theatre stage at Coastal Carolina University is undergoing a transformation, complete with more than 10,000 gallons of water.

The Conway Fire Department filled the stage with 13,000 gallons of water Thursday, Chief Jeremy Carter confirmed.

The production "Metamorphoses" will be showing at the college. "Set in and around a large pool of water onstage, Metamorphoses juxtaposes the ancient and the contemporary in both language and image to reflect the variety and persistence of narrative in the face of inevitable change," according to the college's Department of Theatre.

Tickets are on sale now. Showings begin October 16 until October 25.
