FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – A 52-year-old Florence man charged with attempted murder after officers responded to a home on North Pedigree around noon yesterday for a report of shots fired, officials said.

When officers arrived at the Florence home Wednesday, they found a bullet hole in the house.

Police say that Anthony McCants fired a weapon from the passenger seat of his car, which was parked in the driveway. He shot at his girlfriend who was standing on the porch, police say.

The bullet grazed the top of her head and then went through the side of the home where a man was located.

Police say this incident appears to be fueled by a domestic dispute.

McCants was booked into the Florence County Detention Center at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on two counts of attempted murder.
