MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – By discovering local hidden secrets, a new marketing campaign is aimed at getting people to look past the beach to see the other adventures that the Grand Strand has to offer, as a destination.

Through local discounts on VisitMyrtleBeach.com, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce launched its largest integrated marketing campaigns. The goal is to bring people to the area during the shoulder season. However, it can also benefit locals.

"It is not just to talk about the beach, but also all the secrets and the secret attractions," shared Susan Phillips the Director of Marketing for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.

The campaign will reveal 60 secrets through a digital and social media campaign using videos to showcase each secret's story.

People can follow the reveal through Facebook and guess the secret to win prizes, including a Fall getaway to the Grand Strand.

"It is good for the business and creates a richer experience for the visitor," said Phillips.

While the 60 More Days of Summer campaign is now underway, the 60 secrets will be revealed starting September 1.
