Victim identified in bush hog accident in Horry County

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at Sunny Boy Lane off of SC 707.

Willy York, 70, died after an accident involving a piece of farming equipment.

A neighbor said that York was bush hogging when the accident happened. She went on to say that York would go around the neighborhood volunteering to mow people's lawns.

The accident was reported at 9:20 a.m. Monday, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

An autopsy Tuesday morning will determine the cause of death.

    A threat was discovered written on a bathroom wall at Conway High School, according to a post on the school’s Facebook page. The threat was “a derogatory statement about a teacher,” and was investigated by school officials and law enforcement.
