MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A man robbed a woman at knife point on 11th Avenue South near Oak Street late Monday night, according to police
The victim told Myrtle Beach Police that the suspect got out of a dark red, maroon or burgundy sedan and approached her while holding a knife, according to the police report.
She said the suspect never said a word but grabbed her arm and started taking her bag.
As the victim tried to resist, the suspect pushed her to the ground and took her bag, according to the police report.
The suspect then returned to his vehicle and left the area.
The suspect is described by the victim as being a 5-foot-8-inch tall young black male, with a slim build, short black hair, was clean shaven, and was wearing dark clothing.
The victim called the police from her place of work around the corner from where she was robbed.
She feels the suspect may have been watching her for weeks.
"I'm walking the same time at 11 o'clock...the same time, every night. I think he saw me every night," Fatme Imam says.
Imam says police later found her bag with everything in it except money.
She says she was worried about her documents and will no longer be carrying them around with her.
