CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - William Craig, Jr., a Conway man who went missing for several days earlier this month, has been safely located, according to Horry County Police Department officials.

Following every lead, the Horry County Police Department asked the public for any information on his whereabouts. However, his family wasn't waiting around for answers. They took to the streets to hand out flyers and searched through William's belongings for any clues.

"He was supposed to start school on the 18th," his sister, Yolanda Flores, said while he was still missing. A lot of plans were on hold for he family of William Craig, Jr.

Flores continued to sleep with her cell phone every night, hoping for a call from William or someone who may know where he is.

The family had not seen or heard from him for over five days. His disappearance didn't add up to his sister.

"He usually comes over every other day for dinner. He has never been gone this long without letting us know where he is, where he is going, or to say he is okay," Flores said.

On Friday, William dropped Flores off at the airport before returning her car to her home. Her husband offered William a ride home, but he declined.

"He said no, that he had a friend waiting up the street for him. He walked down Drawbridge Drive to meet his friend....that was the last we saw him," she said.

The family didn't hear from him the following day, and he never showed up for Sunday dinner. When he didn't make it to work earlier this week, they decided to file a police report.

"We just want to make sure he is safe," Flores said.

On Monday, a family member informed WMBF News that Craig, Jr., has been found safe. Horry County Police confirmed Tuesday that he had been located, but provided no further details.
