Unattended cooking results in Myrtle Beach apartment fire

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A Myrtle Beach apartment caught fire after a pot was left unattended on a hot stove Monday afternoon, according to the Myrtle Beach Fire Department.

The fire took place on Porcher Drive and caused fire damage in the kitchen and smoke damage all through the apartment, according to Chief Bruce Arnel with the MBFD.

No injuries were reported.
