GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Officials have identified the man who they say assaulted a woman at a Walmart Sunday night.

The City of Georgetown Police Department arrested Johnny Wayne Langston, 42, Monday afternoon and charged him with armed robbery.

The suspect assaulted the female shopper, stole her pocket book and then fled the scene, according to the City of Georgetown Police Department's Facebook page.

The suspect left the scene in what is believed to be an older model white t-top Chevrolet Camaro.

The victim was transported to the Georgetown Memorial Hospital for examination.

A judge denied Langston bond as the victim is still in the hospital and was unable to attend the bond hearing, according to the police department.

The incident is still under investigation and Langston is expected to face more charges.
