The NWS has placed Coastal Horry County under a flood advisory

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The National Weather Service has placed Coastal Horry County under a flood advisory from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday evening.

Due to the full moon, the high tide will be higher than normal tonight and cause hazardous conditions.

Some minor flooding is possible on roadways near the beach, so expect some delays.

In addition, beachgoers should be cautious of the increased surf and avoid the water during this time.
