FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - A cutting and welding plant in Florence announced a plan to restructure its product lines due to a recent acquisition. Sixty-five employees will be laid off, as a result of the plan.

"The restructuring will relocate manufacturing for gas apparatus and manual plasma products from ESAB's Florence, South Carolina facility to its facilities in Denton, Texas and Hermosillo, Mexico," was stated in a news release issued by the plant on Friday.

More than 420 employees work at the Florence facility.

The company produces standard welding equipment, consumables and automation equipment, as well as mechanized cutting machines and systems.
