CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The future park site of the Conway Dog Park has been staked near Lake Busbee.
The dog park will be located adjacent from Lake Busbee, Foster Hughes, Parks, Recreation and Tourism director said. The site is owned by the city and is the former Public Works lot.
The park will be about two acres and city leaders hope to have the park opened by Thanksgiving 2014, Hughes said.
Areas will be designated for large and small dogs. The park will be fenced and water access will be available for dogs.
Money was allocated in the 2014-2015 budget to build the park. The park is expected to cost around $45,000, which will cover fencing, landscaping and grading.
