The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has  numerous events planned for the enjoyment of members in the community. The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has numerous events planned for the enjoyment of members in the community.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has planned numerous events for the enjoyment of members in the community.

The following is a list of dates, times and events that are planned for the month of August. Every event will be held at the chamber's main office at 1200 North Oak Street in Myrtle Beach:

• Aug. 5 – North Strand Membership Update and Breakfast – 9 a.m. – update held at House of Blues, located at 4640 U.S. 17 South, in North Myrtle Beach

• Aug. 5 – Ribbon Cutting – Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Myrtle Beach Real Estate – 12 p.m. – business is located at 7421 N. Kings Hwy., in Myrtle Beach

• Aug. 6 – Leverage Social Media Like A Pro and Local Search Engine Optimization – 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – free class – Dagwood's Deli boxed lunch available for $8

• Aug. 11 – Ribbon Cutting – Just Because IYQ – 4 to 5 p.m. – business is located at 2520 U.S. 17 Business, South Oasis Plaza, Garden City

• Aug. 12 – Medicare Q & A – 12 to 1 p.m. – complimentary lunch provided

• Aug. 13 – Your Complete 2015 Online Marketing Strategy – 12 to 1 p.m. – free class – Dagwood's Deli boxed lunch available for $8

• Aug. 14 – Ribbon Cutting – Lincoln Park Bar and Grill – 4 to 5 p.m. – business is located at 8739 U.S. 17 Bypass South, Surfside Beach

• Aug. 19 – Behind the Scenes: T-Mobile Operated by A-1 Wireless – 8 to 9:30 a.m. – business is located at 1950 Mr. Joe White Ave., in Myrtle Beach

• Aug. 20 - $1 Facebook Advertising Trick and Pay Per Click Profitability – 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – free class – Dagwood's Deli boxed lunch available for $8

• Aug. 21 – Ribbon Cutting – C.R.H.. Interior Designs Inc. – 5 to 7 p.m. – business is located at 4006-B Postal Way, Myrtle Beach

• Aug. 26 – Basics of Photography – 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

• Aug. 26 – Chamber Access – 3 p.m..

• Aug. 27 – Elements of A Perfect Website – 12 to 1 p.m. – free class – Dagwood's Deli boxed lunch available for $8

• Aug. 28 – Business After Hours: Hilton Garden Inn Myrtle Beach at Coastal Grand Mall – 4 to 7 p.m. – business located at 2383 Coastal Grand Circle, Myrtle Beach

• Aug. 29 through Aug. 30 – Ninth Annual Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival – 6 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 29; 12 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 30 – Horry Georgetown Technical Conference Center and surrounding area near The Market Common

    BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify a suspect who robbed a BP gas station Saturday night, according to a release. The suspect robbed the gas station at 5053 Southport-Supply Road in Southport around 8:30 Saturday night. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’0” tall, wearing a short sleeve, dark blue t-shirt, tan pants, and a camouflage beanie. He also has a beard or facial hair.  No ...More >>

    Educators of the future are taking a stand, following a vigil held on the camps of Coastal Carolina University honoring the 17 lives lost in a Florida shooting. CCU students Tyler Bealmear and Kaycelyn Laymon have a love and passion for children and education, their hearts broken by the tragedy, but each refusing to let situations like these continue.
