Cici’s Pizza in Myrtle Beach to host ‘Cover the Cruiser’

Cici’s Pizza locations will host the “Cover the Cruiser” benefit on Thursday. Cici’s Pizza locations will host the “Cover the Cruiser” benefit on Thursday.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Cici's Pizza in Myrtle Beach will host the "Cover the Cruiser" benefit on Thursday, July 31. The event will raise money for the South Carolina Special Olympics.

The event will last from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Athletes will be at the restaurants with officers from the Horry County Police Department, State Transport Police "covering the cruiser" with paper icons. The icons will be sold for $1 and 10% of sales will be donated.

Cici's Pizza is located at 3550 Northgate Dr. in Myrtle Beach.

In addition, other locations will be participating in the benefit.

Mt. Pleasant – 1501 N Hwy 17

Columbia, Woodhill Mall – Pelham Dr. (Garners Ferry Road)

Columbia, Village of Sandhills – 715 Fashion Dr. (off of Two Notch near Clemson Road)

Irmo – 6120 St. Andrews Rd

Horry County Police responded to a home in the 5400 block of Figure 8 Road off Socastee Boulevard according to Cpt.
