SC Bar hosts school supply drive for Myrtle Beach area students

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A school supply drive has been organized by South Carolina lawyers for student in the Myrtle Beach area.

The S.C. Bar Young Lawyers Division, in conjunction with Help 4 Kids, is collecting backpacks and other school supplies for donation to schools and students, according to a news release issued by the bar. The drive lasts through Thursday, August 14.

Examples of items needed include:

- new backpacks

- spiral bound notebooks, loose leaf paper, composition notebooks

- binders

- pocket folders

- scissors

- rulers, compasses, protractors

- dividers

- mechanical pencils, #2 pencils, highlighters, dry erase markers, crayons

- 3x5 index cards, Post-It notes, book covers

- dictionaries

- large boxes of Kleenex

Supplies can be dropped off at any of the following locations:

Vice President of MBREDC Sandy Davis said the website is used as a recruitment tool. With the new website, MBREDC will be able to more efficiently contact companies who may be taking a look at their website, as well as provide more information the companies may be looking for.
