CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Coastal Carolina is launching "Teal Transportation," this fall semester.
Teal Transportation is an alternative transportation option offered by CCU's Office of Sustainability. The campus shuttle, biking, Zipcar and a password-protected online ride board for students will be joined together to make this service possible. All of which were promoted during Orientation events.
"Alternative transportation is a creative way of thinking about how you get from one place to another," said Jennifer Sellers, Sustainability Coordinator.
Along with the Office of Sustainability, Teal Transportation is a collaborative effort between Student Affairs, Safety and Transportation, Campus Recreation and Contractual and Business Services.
"More sustainable transportation can reduce parking demands, promote healthy lifestyles and help create a cleaner environment," Sellers said. Coastal Carolina University was named in "The Princeton Review's Guide to 332 Green Colleges. Click Here to view the Guide.
