Search to fill Myrtle Beach City Manager position begins

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The search to fill the city manager position in Myrtle Beach has begun. Tom Leath, Myrtle Beach's present City Manager, has announced his retirement. He has held the position since 1987, according to the city's website.

The city manager is responsible for implementing the policies of the city council, directing business and administrative procedures and appointing departmental officials and certain other city employees, according to the posting for the position.
