Victim in fatal Myrtle Beach motorcycle accident identified

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that involved a motorcycle Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened at the intersection of US 17 and Lake Arrowhead Road around 2:53 p.m.

The driver of a Harley Davidson was traveling north on Highway 17 and ran a red light as the driver of a Chevrolet Impala was turning left onto Lake Arrowhead Road, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Harley Davidson motorcycle was Milton Martin, 52, of Conway, according to Horry County Coroner Tamara Willard.

Martin landed in the path of the oncoming car. He died at the scene of the accident.

No charges have been filed at this time.
